Why not? If you’re anything like me you’ve probably seen the P90X infomercials and seen the results and testimonials of the people who have completed the program and thought, “that’s not real, those pictures are fake. That pudgy dork couldn’t have gotten those results!” My thinking on that matter has changed drastically over the past two and half years since I started my first round. I now see that kind of thinking as “things losers say”. Seriously, how could you belive that diet and extrme exercise don’t result in an awesome transformation?!? Is P90X the only way to achieve great results? Of course not, but all the work’s been done for you. The plan is all laid out, all you need is the desire and motivation to take the next step. If you think you don’t have enough time, you’ll need to file that thought away under “things losers think” too. I’m the sole provider for a family of seven…I don’t want to hear about a lack of time as an excuse for not taking your health seriously.
My motivation is my family. I started my first round in April ’09, right after Easter. I was looking at pictures of myself with my kids and I just couldn’t believe I had let my health get that out of contol. I was 50lbs overweight and had a pretty miserable self-image. I wanted to do something about it but felt like I’d dug myself into a hole that I couldn’t get out of. In the past I’d tried the Atkins diet a few times and it works…until I’d get tired of it and fall back into the old bad habits. I’d get on a running kick for a little while and like the diet I’d get off track and then just fall back into bad habits. With P90X there’s so much variety that it has kept me from getting bored. I’ve been doing it now for two and half years and still love it! The only times I’ve been off it have been while I was doing INSANITY…another incredible Beachbody program. The great thing about these programs is that anyone can do them and be successful if you simply follow the Beachbody motto – decide, commit, succeed.
I’m in the best shape of my life, at 37, and hope to help others get fit and happy too! A side benefit to all this healthy living was when I had my life insurance updated about a year after starting. I went from merely qualifying for it to being “super preferred”. The nurse that was doing my physical said I had the heart rate of a runner, that felt pretty good to hear. My monthly premium went down over $10 and my coverage doubled! I’d say the cost of buying P90X has paid for itself in more ways than one! My wife and I joke about our one-year old daughter being a P90X baby; I mean, come on, she can barely keep her hands off me!
BRING IT!
